After liberation, kindergartens were set up by all factories, other enterprises and residential quarters in Guangzhou. The teach children to love the collective and to take part in physical labour and ensure the healthy growth of the children, The Yandun Road Kindergarten, Dohnshan District.

The Guangzhou Children's Palace is a centre for extra curricular education. Working in co-ordination with the schools, it gives children an education in communist ideology and organizes their cultural, athletic, scientific and technological activities, thus promoting their all-round moral, itellectual and physical development.
