Moscow by Yury Balanenko and Alexander Berezin.  Hardcover book published by Planeta Publishers Moscow 1975, 207 pages with colour and black and white photographs. All text is in English.

 This monument to Lenin in the Kremlin stands in the garden adjacent to Ivanovskaya Square where on May 1, 1920 Lenin took part in the countrywide Communist subbotnik (volunteer sparetime work without pay). Sculptors V. Pinchuk and S. Speransky.


New Moscow silhouettes. Vera Mukhina’s famous sculptural group Worker and Collective Farm Girl, which surmounted the Soviet pavilion at the Paris World Fair, now stands at the entrance to the USSR Economic Achievements Exhibition, an ensemble of pavilions in a pleasant setting of walks and gardens.
