  1. Sorry, but I don't really see how a book like this is propaganda. There's quite a lot of pictures in you blog that do no more than show a city in a certain time. From the 50-70's such books about cities were exactly the same in Western Europe. Apart from the nicest buildings they showed the progress in rebuilding a society after the war, wich included in those days some new apartment blocks, new factories and happy people between them. I like the pictures in your blog, but I think not everything, like the ones from Jena and Belgrade, should be considered as propaganda. Or we have to conclude that the Western ones were propaganda as well. We do not always realize it, but Western propaganda is waaaaayyy sneakier than communist propaganda ever was, but that's another story...;)

    I agree with you totally re western propaganda... and yes western propaganda is another story. The story of this blog is communist propaganda only. Yes some of it very subtle and some of it is extreme. I am happy for you to disagree or 'dissent' from my opinion, it is just my opinion.
