The Wuxi Machine Tools Plant manufactures precision grinding machines.  Formerly it was only capable of repairing and refitting machines.  Following Chairman Mao’s revolutionary line, it has undergone a process of development from repairing and assembling to manufacturing (etc.)

The Wuxi Concrete Structure Factory used to be a factory producing pre-fabricated concrete structures for house-building. (etc.)

The Suzhou Silk Printing Mill was started from scratch in 1958 by a score of veteran workers in some tumbledown houses.  Through technical revolution and technical innovations, they have succeeded in doing away with heavy physical labour, replacing it with semi- or thorough mechanization. (etc.)
