Along the Yellow River. Paperback book
published by Foreign Languages Press Peking 1975. (This album is made
based on pictures and texts which appeared in China Pictorial between
June 1973 and May 1974, with some editorial changes.) Text is in
Huayuankou, a town to the north of
Chengchow. Here in 1938, Kuomintang troops blew up the Yellow River
dyke on orders from Chiang Kai-shek, causing serious flooding. Now
it takes on a completely new look.
