five and a half billion cubic metres of water

of flood waters have been harnessed in service of man. They will
never again become a menace but will flow peacefully into cotton,
rice and wheat fields, helping to produce bumper harvests
Water is now controlled and stored and
turned into hundreds of thousands of kilowatts of electricity for
factories and farms
