Lu Jung-mei of the Tu nationality is a standing committee member of the Party committee of the Huchu Tu Autonomous County.  Many members of the national minorities have become cadres in the course of socialist revolution and construction.

Han Ibragin (2^nd left), a Sala peasant, studies Chairman Mao’s works with other commune members.  He is an alternate member of the Chinghai Provincial Party Committee.
